When a payout is stuck: telling delay from refusal
Most messages sent to a casino about money are not complaints. They are impatience, and that is not a criticism — it is a gap in information. From the outside, a request waiting in the approval queue looks identical to one that has been declined: in both cases the money is not in the bank. This page draws that line for Posido, then sets out the order in which to act once the line has been crossed.
Three states that look the same
Pending means the request is inside the operator’s approval stage — the first and longest of the three payout segments. On weekdays that stage typically runs 2–12 hours, at weekends and on public holidays 6–24 hours. For roughly twelve hours the player can also withdraw the request themselves, and that is the single most common self-inflicted delay, because cancelling resets the clock and returns the request to the back of the queue.
Declined is always an event: the status changes and the amount reappears in the gaming balance. If the balance has not moved and the status has not changed, nothing has been declined.
Approved but not credited is the third and most frequently misread state. From the operator’s side the case is closed; on the receiving side nothing is visible yet. This is normal on cards and on amounts above the statutory instant-payment threshold, which fall back to intraday clearing on banking days.
A typology of stalls
| Symptom | Likely cause | Next move |
|---|---|---|
| Pending for hours, no document request | Normal approval stage, possibly weekend congestion | Wait to the median boundary, then ask for status |
| Pending with a document request | Verification, which runs 24–48 hours | Send the complete set at once so no follow-up round starts |
| Amount returned to the gaming balance | Active bonus, name mismatch, or the same-method return rule | Request the written reason for the refusal |
| Approved but nothing credited | Booking on the receiving side: card or above-threshold transfer | Reconcile using the bank reference number |
| Crypto payout missing | Network mismatch between the address and the chain used | Check the transaction hash against the address network |
| Card payout redirected to a bank account | The issuer does not accept inbound credits | Supply bank details with an exact name match |
Channel timings are detailed on the withdrawals page, and bonus locks are explained under wagering.
Evidence to collect before writing to anyone
A complaint is worth what its evidence is worth, and in cashier matters evidence is almost always a timestamp. Five items should be recorded at the moment the request is submitted rather than reconstructed afterwards: the request identifier and the exact submission time; the amount in forint and the channel; a screenshot of the cashier at every status change; the e-mail in which documents were sent, since only that proves when they arrived; and the reference on the receiving side, whether a bank transaction number, a wallet identifier or a blockchain hash.
Live chat is weak evidence by comparison. Unless a transcript is requested, the conversation does not persist. Anything material should therefore be confirmed by e-mail, even when it has already been answered in chat.
The escalation ladder
Tier one — support. Not a formal complaint but a clarification, answering one question: which stage is the request in, and what is missing. How to compose that message is covered on the support page. Most cases end here.
Tier two — the operator’s complaints procedure. Used when tier one produces no substantive answer, or an answer that cannot be reconciled with the published terms. The content should be factual: a chronology with timestamps, the exact wording of the term relied on, and the remedy sought in one sentence. Dates rather than adjectives. Keep the reference number and the submission time exactly as you kept them for the payout request.
Tier three — the licensing authority. In Hungary, supervision of gambling sits with the Szabályozott Tevékenységek Felügyeleti Hatósága (SZTFH). It maintains a public register of licensed organisers and a list of sites that have been made inaccessible. Two preconditions apply to this route: the operator has to fall within the licensed group, and the internal complaints procedure has to have been exhausted. That is why tier two should not be skipped — submissions tend to be referred back to it.
Context is worth knowing. Before 2023, online casino play in Hungary operated in practice within the state monopoly around Szerencsejáték Zrt.; the regulatory framework has since opened licensing to other organisers. This matters for money rather than for history, because both the route of redress and the favourable tax treatment of winnings attach to the licensed group. That last point is not tax advice — individual circumstances should be checked separately.
What a complaint cannot achieve
No escalation overrides the published terms. If a payout stopped because a wagering requirement is still open, or because the same-method return rule requires the deposit to be repaid down the route it arrived, then a complaint documents the situation without accelerating it. Opening a second account alongside a stalled request achieves even less: duplicate profiles are detected during verification and can end with both accounts frozen.
Finally, the boundary. posido.info is an independent editorial site, neither the operator nor a regulator. It cannot start a request, change a status or accept a document. What it offers is the typology and the sequence, so the first message goes to the right place carrying the right information.
