Funding a Posido balance: thresholds, credit times and the choice you make for later

Depositing is the shortest operation in any cashier, which is exactly why it is misread. Money reaches a Posido balance in seconds on almost every channel, while the same money takes hours to travel back out. This page deals with the inbound leg only: what the thresholds are, when the debit actually books, and why the channel picked at deposit time quietly decides how the payout will behave. The full channel list sits on the payments overview.

The account itself is denominated in forint (HUF). Every figure above is the amount the cashier expects to see credited, not the amount leaving the sending side — network fees and exchange spreads are deducted before arrival.

Three steps, one leg

  1. Open the cashier and switch to the deposit tab; the list shows only channels enabled for a forint account.
  2. Enter the amount and confirm on your own side — a 3-D Secure prompt, a banking app approval, a wallet password or a network transaction.
  3. The balance moves the moment the payment provider returns a confirmation. There is no manual review on this leg, which is why it is measured in seconds rather than hours.

Why the outbound leg cannot copy this speed

A payout is not the mirror image of a deposit. It consists of three separate legs: operator approval, dispatch by the payment provider, and arrival at the receiving side. Deposits skip the first two entirely, because there is nothing to approve when money moves towards the house. Approval is the long leg and the only one that stretches at weekends — the median in our payout log runs 2–12 hours on weekdays and 6–24 hours at weekends and on public holidays. Understanding this before the first deposit saves a lot of misplaced blame later on; the mechanics are unpacked on the withdrawal page.

Debited by the bank, missing from the balance

A debit and a credit are two events in two systems. When the banking app already shows the charge, the money has left the account, but the cashier has not yet received a confirmation from the provider. On cards this is common and usually harmless: the entry starts life as an authorisation hold and only becomes a settled charge in a later booking cycle, which follows banking days rather than calendar days. Contact support with the transaction reference, the exact timestamp and the amount. Do not send the same amount again while the first one is unresolved — the second transfer will register as an independent deposit, and under the same-method rule both will need to be covered before funds can leave by another route.

The deposit choice is a payout choice

Money generally leaves by the route it arrived on until the deposited amount has been covered. Two channels behave differently and both are worth knowing in advance. A paysafecard voucher is one-directional by construction, so payouts are redirected to a bank account or wallet, and the account holder name becomes the first checkpoint. Cards are only partly suitable for returns, because many issuers refuse casino credits, and those requests are pushed onto the bank rail as well. Anyone who expects to withdraw should therefore fund through a channel that can also receive.

Double conversion, the cost with no line item

The gaming balance is kept in forint. If the funding instrument is denominated in another currency, the amount is converted on the way in and again on the way out, and an exchange spread of roughly 1–3 per cent applies each time. It never appears as a fee — it simply arrives as fewer forint. Using a forint-denominated card or wallet removes most of it. On crypto the rate is fixed at the moment of network confirmation, not at the moment of sending, which matters when a deposit sits close to the minimum.

Clear the paperwork before, not after

Identity checks are not part of a payout; they are a one-off debt that falls due at the first withdrawal. Documents submitted on registration day take 24–48 hours to clear, and doing this early means the first payout runs on the ordinary median instead of waiting on a scan. The list is on the registration page, and if a payment turns into a dispute, the escalation route is described under complaints. Bonus balances are worth a separate thought: an unmet wagering requirement blocks withdrawals regardless of channel, as explained in the bonus section.

Questions about the inbound leg

What is the smallest deposit accepted?
5 000 Ft on cards, instant bank transfer, Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard, and roughly the equivalent of 10 000 Ft on crypto. The cashier always displays the live threshold once a channel is selected.
Can somebody else pay on the player’s behalf?
No. The payment instrument has to be in the player’s own name, because at verification the account holder name is compared with the name on the gaming account. Third-party payments are rejected on the way in and cause the longest delays on the way out.
Does the operator charge for deposits?
Not on the inbound leg. Cost appears in two other places: the exchange spread applied by your own bank or wallet, and the blockchain fee on crypto, which is paid by the sender to the network rather than to the casino.
